Introduction: Kicking off entrepreneur camp with an introduction to the camp format
Start-Up Speed Dating: An informal entrepreneur matchmaking session – Connect and share: business ideas, resources, relationships.
Get the Word Out: Successfully navigating the entrepreneurial world requires insight that leads to foresight. Learning how to identify your market’s drivers increases your ability to make your products or campaigns “sticky”, possibly viral. This session will foster the discussion of the ideas and marketing approaches which allow you to align yourself with those drivers. Getting the word out through Sales and Marketing are the building blocks and key drivers to ramping up your business.
Money Matters: This session will feature an interactive discussion facilitated by financial thought leaders. The purpose is to help you understand one of the most essential tools in your business – CASH! Simply stated, entrepreneurs need cash. Whether it’s startup funding, operational funds, or growth capital – it’s all cold hard CASH. Every succesful entrepreneur knows that Money Matters!
Elevator Pitches: Attending startups and companies will have 2 minutes to pitch their company, concept, or service in front of a panel of investors and business leaders. The winner will receive a 1-hour business consulting session.
Workshops: Hosted and taught by the UH Small Business Development Center & The Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston (#1 undergrad Entreprneurship program in the nation)
Intro Entrepreneurship: Fundamental building blocks of entrepreneurship: covering revenue, cost, capital, planning, implementation. Discussed in context with the Wolff Center’s “Entrepreneurial Model”.
Resources: There are many resources available to entrepreneurs: you should know what they are and where you can find them – this session will share just that!
